Our 20th November Monthly Meeting was called - 'ALL THINGS FESTIVE'

After the success of our Easter Themed meeting the Social Committee decided to have another Arts & Crafts afternoon in November making - All Things Fesitve!
Members were asked to make decorations for our December ChristmasParty so that we could decorate the hall and make it look very festive!
There was soon a lovely buzz of conversation going on around the hall and members couldn't help but join in singing along to the festive music being played!
We had a Christmas Quiz for members to complete as well so there was a lot going on during the afternoon. Nobody wanted to stop for the festive refreshments so these were served as people carried on to xomplete their decorations!
We now have a lovely stock of Christmas Decoratioins to put up and decorate the hall for our Christmas Party on the 11th December!

OCTOBER HARVEST DONATION

At our October Meeting members celebrated Harvest time by very kindly donating food to be donated to the New Forest Basics Food Bank
Harvest is a time to be thankful for all the good food that we eat and it is also a time to think of those who do not have enough food to eat around the world and closer to home
The New Forest Basics Food Bank were very pleased with our donation - which went straight to make up food parcels for those in need to be collected that very day!

We held another very successful Tombola Stall at the New Milton Lions VJ80 Day!
It was a lovely, fun day with lots of people enjoying the weather, the music, the stalls and the fantastic classic cars that were on show!
We raised over £400 to boost our funds which brings us to the end our tombola stalls for this year!
Thank you to all our members for donating the prizes and congratulations to the team who worked so hard to put on all these tombola stalls to raise money for the Group

MEMBERS ENJOYED A WONDERFUL GARDEN PARTY ON THE 21ST AUGUST
We had around 75 people attend – it was lovely to see so many members there, some with friends or family members.
We were also joined by several guests who were invited to join us so that we could say a personal thank you to them. These were people that have helped and supported our Group in so many ways – and even included the New Milton Town Mayor & his wife!
We were entertained by a fantastic group called ‘The Rambling Men’ – they soon had everyone singing along to some old tunes and new – especially ones about trains! We will be asking them to come and perform again!
This was followed by a wonderful spread of food which had been provided by some of our members – it tasted as good as it looked!
We had some great raffle prizes and one lucky member took home a lovely big hamper full of delicious goodies!
We have all voted it the best Garden Party ever – and hope to do it all over again next year!

We held another Saturday August bank holiday weekend Tombola stall in Lymington market. This time there was no rain and the weather was good – not too hot!
There were lots of people about and our stall was kept very busy with people trying their luck and hoping to win one of our lovely prizes!
We were given quite a few generous donations too – and we spoke to lots of people who stopped to chat and tell us their stories about how their relatives or friends had been affected by Parkinson’s.
We raised a total of £737.00 from the tombola stall and our ‘For Sale’ table – the best yet!
