Take a Break

This service is run by Hampshire County Council - Adults Social Care. It gives Carers the chance to have some time to themselves by providing a replacement Carer for the person they care for. The service is accessed through a Carers Assessment and those that are eligible can book their breaks through their local provider.

The Princess Royal Trust for Carers

This trust will help prepare an emergency plan for care in the event that your carer is incapacitated. They can also provide up to 48 hours of emergency care while other arrangements are put in place.

Coates Centre – Wellbeing Support

The Coates Centre is based in the grounds of Oakhaven Hospice and is a Wellbeing Hub for people with all types of illnesses along with their Carers. Here you can access Counselling, Support Groups, Courses and Activities, Complementary Therapies and Illness Support.

Carers Together

This organisation works with and for unpaid carers in Hampshire. They provide a range of services which includes information, advice, advocacy, groups, training and planning.
